Two of my favorite brands, both headquartered right here in Michigan, have teamed up for an epic collaboration in honor of Labor Day. My friends at Ram Truck and the fine people at footwear and apparel company Wolverine are honoring hard-working blue-collar folks by crafting a limited run of boots, which of course are American-made.

As another nod to those of us who use our trucks like trucks and wear through work boots more than the usual crowd, the Wolverine x Ram collaboration is donating $10 from every pre-order to SkillsUSA, a national nonprofit organization that focuses on educational services for the manufacturing industry.

That means more funding for to build trade, technical, and skilled service training programs around the country.

“We are proud to partner with Ram Truck, an industry-leading brand, to honor essential workers and the excellent career opportunities the skilled trades offer,” said Tom Kennedy, global brand president for Wolverine. “Since 2017 Wolverine has donated more than $2 million toward supporting the next generation of skilled workers, and we’re excited to be working with another brand who is equally passionate about investing in the future of the American workforce.”

I ordered a pair immediately, going with the safety toe Tradesman option, even choosing a white pair just to mix it up a bit. The Rebels are a little more in-your-face and also come with a safety toe.

At the high end of the spectrum sits the Limited, which is the Wolverine x Ram edition of Wolverine’s 1000 Mile boot. I already own two pairs of the super rad 1000 Mile and they are, without question, the most comfortable boots in my collection.

I’m not sure how long you’ll be able to order them, but they are all limited editions.
