August 28, 2021

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating six additional COVID-19 cases, all of which are imported.

The patients arrived from Belgium, Myanmar, the US, Azerbaijan, the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates.

A total of 64 cases were reported in Hong Kong in the past 14 days. One is a local case with an unknown infection source, another is import-related and the rest are imported.

The centre also reminded specified people linked to Block 1, Bo Shek Mansion in Tsuen Wan to undergo testing tomorrow in accordance with the compulsory testing notice.

Meanwhile, 11 specified premises are covered by the compulsory testing notice.

Four of them were visited by a preliminary positive case arriving from the UK who had lived in Hong Kong within the past 21 days. The case involved the L452R mutant strain.

Another three premises are related to two non-locally confirmed cases who had lived in Hong Kong, while the rest are subject to additional testing.

Mobile specimen collection stations will be set up in Stanley, Tsuen Wan and Discovery Bay tomorrow for relevant people to undergo compulsory testing.
