FijiCare Insurance Limited is the recipient of two Insurance Asia 2021 awards in recognition of its innovative and affordable microinsurance for low income earners.
The South Pacific Stocks Exchange (SPX)-listed company received the New Insurance Product of the Year – Fiji, and the Digital Insurance Initiative of the Year – Fiji.
The Insurance Asia Awards recognises companies that have successfully launched innovative solutions and have delivered exceptional value to their stakeholders.
According to a market announcement on SPX, the New Insurance Product of the Year Award recognises FijiCare’s innovative and affordable bundled microinsurance for low income earners in partnership with the Fijian Government and the Pacific Financial Inclusion Programme.
And the Digital Insurance Initiative of the Year Award recognises the enhancement of services through technology-based solutions, including the FijiCare mobile application.
The awards were handed over in an official virtual presentation to FijiCare executive director Avi Raju.
“We are thrilled to be recognised by this prestigious Asian insurance industry awards program,” Mr Raju said.
“FijiCare will continue to focus on introducing innovative products and technology driven solutions for its customers in Fiji and the Pacific.”
Mr Raju acknowledged their microinsurance partners – UNCDF, Pacific counterpart PFIP, Government, and their digital technology partner Enoviq Technologies.
He said they continued to work with Enoviq Technologies to develop new digital products.
