About this product:
Le Creuset products are covered by a Lifetime Limited Warranty. See website for details.
Defective cookware will be replaced free of charge, or replaced by a similar product or one of equivalent value if the product is no longer in production. Replacement with the same color cannot be guaranteed.
Protip: Buy Lodge enameled cast iron, and replace the knobs with "Le Creuset"-branded ones. Your friends will think you're rich and your chili will still taste the same.
Enameled cast iron is made in France and accessories are made in China
To be fair, both Wirecutter and ATK still recommend Le Creuset as their upgraded or top pick, respectively, despite similar performance. Like most nice things, you're definitely getting diminishing returns for the dollar, but LC does make a top quality product.

TU and good deal overall, but note that non-stainless lid handle made of resin not oven safe for recipes that call for over 450 degrees I believe. The best deal many of us did NOT get in on was last Xmas, when 4 qt Staub were all selling for $99.

I have purchased a couple le creuset over the years. if you have access to a local le creuset outlet, you just need to pay attention to any of the sales they are having there.
yes they carry mostly seconds quality items, but they also have a decent selection of first quality items as well. you just have to ask the person where to find them in the store. with a good sale, you can get better deals than what is shown in this link. though if you don't have an outlet near you, this is a decent sale if you need it soon.
Honesty very true. People swear by it but in independent tests by wirecutter, consumer reports and America's test kitchen other brands (like Tramontina) have performed similarly. But brands are brands.

so the lid can easily be swapped with the stainless steel one and then it's identical to the other oven safe version? Can someone pls confirm ?
As someone else already confirmed, yes, you can swap them. Only thing I want to add is there's no real need to swap it unless you're going to very high (450+) temperatures regularly for extended periods. I have used several Le Creuset enamel pieces for over a decade using just the regular knobs and have never had an issue with them in the oven. Most folks primarily do braises (which are relatively low temp anyway) in Dutch Ovens, but even the occasional high tem has been fine.

It's never been cheap. But you buy it once and will last forever.
Lodge is also great more affordable brand if you want cast iron.
