BATHINDA: Facing criticism over closeness to BJP leaders, Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee President Baljit Singh Daduwal Thursday met National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) Chairperson Vijay Sampla. It is learnt that both discussed treatment to Dalits in Gurdwaras.

A case was registered against 600-700 farmers. The Haryana Gurdwara committee afterwards had written a letter to Sanyukt Kisan Morcha asking whether it has allowed certain elements to stop a constitutional authority from going to any place and face opposition.
After this, Haryana based farmer leader Gurnam Singh Charuni and Baljit Singh Daduwal had indulged into verbal duel wherein Charuni had accused Daduwal to be BJP agent.
Before that Daduwal had met Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to speak to BJP government to end farmer protest by conceding their demands.
Daduwal speaking to TOI said that “Sampla wanted to discuss these issues with me at Dadu Sahib Gurdwara but as he could not visit the Gurdwara he had asked me to meet at his office and I had gone there at his office where Sampla told about some Gurdwaras where Dalits were not given due respect and were discriminated. We discussed this issue and debated that Dalits are discriminated in Gurdwaras in Haryana”. He denied any politics behind this visit.
