Four PoK residents detained while infiltrating in Poonch along LoC
JAMMU: Four people from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), including two teenagers and one minor have been detained by Indian army while they were sneaking into this side along Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of union territory.
Police sources said, “The four infiltrators reportedly in the age group of 24, 18, 14 and 9 years were intercepted while they were sneaking in from LoC in Poonch sector.”
As per information, initially two PoJK nationals who infiltrated into Indian side from near the Line of Control in Poonch were detained.

“Later the Army personnel posted along the LoC noticed movement along the LoC and found two more trying to infiltrate into Indian territory.”
Sources said that as soon as they infiltrated into the Indian side, they too were detained by the army.
“The detained have been shifted to nearby army camp,” sources added.
Sources further said, “Initial probe suggest that they all entered LoC inadvertently but investigation and legal formalities into the matter is going on.”
Meanwhile a police official on anonymity confirmed that some PoJK nationals have been detailed by the army but yet has not been handed over to police.
