Lake County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Stabbing in Unincorporated Libertyville

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing incident which occurred in the 16200 block of West Des Plaines Drive, Unincorporated Libertyville, on August 17, 2021 at approximately 1:00 a.m.

Preliminary investigation shows an 18-year-old man of Park City drove to the home of an 18-year-old man in the 16200 block of West Des Plaines Drive, to confront the Unincorporated Libertyville man about an ongoing feud. During the verbal argument the Unincorporated Libertyville man produced a knife. The verbal argument turned physical and the Unincorporated Libertyville man was subsequently stabbed with the knife.

The Unincorporated Libertyville man was transported to an area hospital where he remains in critical condition. The Park City man is being questioned by sheriff’s detectives.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.
