Beginning in December 2020, multiple women came forward with allegations that then Governor Cuomo sexually harassed them. Over the course of the investigation, the investigators interviewed 179 individuals. Those interviewed included complainants, current and former members of the Executive Chamber, State Troopers, additional state employees, and others who interacted regularly with the governor. More than 74,000 documents, emails, texts, and pictures were also reviewed as evidence during the investigation.

A Facebook communications manager, Dani Lever, allegedly helped New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo respond to his first sexual-harassment allegation by contacting the press about the accuser’s personnel file, according to the report from the New York Attorney General Letitia James released on Tuesday, August 3, 2021
Dani Lever, a former Cuomo aide, joined the governor’s staff in 2014, and became his first female press secretary and eventually his director of communications. She left the governor’s office to join Facebook as a communications manager, but allegedly continued to help the governor as part of a “side job.”
