1. Perseid Meteor Shower

FRIDAY AT 7 P.M. | VIRTUAL EVENT

Tickets are “pay what you can,” and proceeds go toward supporting UWM’s undergraduate students. With a $15 donation you also get an individual membership to the planetarium.

2. Sunflower Season

MULTIPLE TIMES | MULTIPLE LOCATIONS

Sunflower season is stunning and short, so you have to make the most of it while its here. Right now we’re in peak season so we gathered a list of local sunflower fields for you to check out while the flowers are still in bloom here

3. Wisconsin State Fair

ALL WEEKEND | WISCONSIN STATE FAIR PARK

The Wisconsin State Fair is back! It’s running until Aug. 15 with all of your favorite events and food vendors, plus a list of new and outrageous foods that you are going to have to try this year. We recommend the Glazy Boy, which won the Sporkies this year. It’s a grilled donut sandwich with two slices of Fontina cheese, pork loin, raspberry whole grain mustard and pickled jalapeños. Try it.
