Tru-Cut Saw increases PVD coating capacity
Brunswick, Ohio-based Tru-Cut Saw Inc., along with Platit’s Custom Coating Solutions division of Switzerland, has installed what it says is the largest PVD coating chamber in the world, dedicated to coating metal-cutting circular saw blades up to 56 in. dia.
The PL2011 sits alongside PL1001 and PL2001 PVD coating chambers inside the saw blade production facility in Brunswick. The new, high-capacity PVD chamber increases Tru-Cut Saw’s daily coating capacity by 225% and extends the company’s overall coating diameter by 6 in.
