1 imported COVID-19 case found

July 27, 2021

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating one additional COVID-19 case involving a man who had travelled to Spain and Switzerland before arriving in Hong Kong.

A total of 27 cases were reported in Hong Kong in the past 14 days and all of them are imported.

In relation to the previous imported cases with the L452R mutant strain, those who had been at three specified premises during the designated period have to undergo additional testing. This also applies to those who have completed a COVID-19 vaccination course.

Meanwhile, the Government will set up a mobile specimen collection station at Town Square at Citygate, Tung Chung and Tung Chung Crescent's public open space tomorrow for people subject to compulsory testing for free.
