It’s Game 6! And the Deer District Is Ready for 65,000 Fans

Let’s go Bucks!

Tonight’s the night. The Milwaukee Bucks are up 3-2 against the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Finals, the team’s first visit to the championship since 1974 and only third ever.

Former Bucks guard Brandon Jennings twice predicted “Bucks in Six,” and the comment has become a rallying cry for Milwaukee fans everywhere. Tonight, that prophecy could finally be fulfilled if the team secures a win at Fiserv Forum.

As you can imagine, Milwaukee’s pretty excited about it. To prepare, the Deer District has expanded its watch party outside the stadium to welcome 65,000 fans. That’s an over 50% increase from past games. During Game 5, which was away in Phoenix, the Deer District’s maximum capacity was 25,500 fans, and some fans were turned away.

The new space will expand north of Fiserv Forum to accommodate the additional fans. The main stage will now be located on the north end of Block 6 of the Deer District, between Vel R. Phillips Avenue and Fifth Street.

The watch party is expected to stretch all the way back across Juneau Avenue, which will be closed between Sixth Street and Martin Luther King Drive and all the way to the plaza at Fiserv Forum. Vel R. Philips Avenue will also be closed between McKinley Avenue and Juneau Avenue. There will be multiple screens set up throughout the plaza.

Gates to the Deer District watch party open at 6 p.m., and the game starts at 8 p.m. Fans are encouraged to RSVP at bucks.com/playoffs to stay up-to-date with game information.

Because of the large crowds, fans with tickets for inside the stadium are encouraged to arrive early. Fiserv Forum opens at 6 p.m., and there is an express entrance to the plaza on the north side of the stadium near the intersection of Juneau Avenue and Fifth Street.

To all the fans going to the game either inside or outside of the stadium, remember that Giannis Antetokounmpo has a message for you:
