Kota Kinabalu: A new Covid-19 cluster has been announced in Sipitang sparked by a tuition teacher who taught at the home of a family which was also infected with the virus.
The 17-year-old teacher had been symptomatic since June 26 but she did not seek treatment, said Sabah's Covid-19 crisis spokesman Datuk Masidi Manjun in a statement today.

Seven members of the family were found positive at the Sinsumin Clinic on July 9 after three days of fever, headache and joint pain.
"Contact tracing and screenings found more cases involving the same epidemiology which was a religious ceremony in Kg Melamam," said Masidi.
Thirty-six cases including 14 new ones have been found so far in the cluster named Kg Melamam - Sipitang.
Homes are not allowed to receive visitors according to the SOPs under Sabah's Phase Two of the National Recovery Plan now in force.
