Buying a Home in Maidenhill, Newton Mearns

Buying a new home is exciting, but it can be stressful too. The process of buying a new build home is slightly different from buying a previously owned property, but we can assist you. We have experience in helping people to reserve and buy homes in Maidenhill, and a full understanding of the process for all three developments:CALA Homes, Balgray GardensVisit site, Taylor Wimpey, Westfield GardensVisit site, Taylor Wimpey, Westfield GateVisit site.

The buying process

The first step is to find and reserve your property. We are familiar with the reservation process for all developments and can assist you with completing the reservation form and paying the reservation fee. We will then enter into missives. When you are buying a new build property, the document will be prepared by the builder’s lawyer and sent to us. We will keep you informed and consult with you on important matters at every stage. When missives have been concluded, the contract is binding but we may need to wait for your own place to be sold or for a valuation before submitting the completed documents to the builder’s solicitor.

In order to get a mortgage for the property, we will need to arrange a valuation. If your property is not yet complete, the valuation will be based on comparable completed properties nearby, plans provided by the builder, the show home and any other available information.

After missives have been completed and you are happy with everything, you will normally pay a deposit for the property.
