Video shared by Sir Richard Branson, Founder of Virgin Group (about 400 companies including Virgin Galactic), showed the Launch Point, the Apogee with zero gravity floating and view of earth from within the Unity22, and post-re-entry. VSS Unity or Unity22 reached an altitude over 50 miles (sub-orbital space) and landed safely. Takeoff rollout was delayed about 90 minutes because high winds prevented maneuvering of equipment the night before flight.

Launch Point altitude for Mothership Eve and Unity22 — a short-flight space rocket plane — was about 46,317 feet. Unity22 dropped from Mothership Eve and was propelled straight upward by Unity22’s rocket motor. The space ship reached a maximum speed of about Mach 3.1 as the space ship reached apogee.

Apogee altitude in space for Unity22 was about 280,000 feet at 10:28 a.m. CDT — Unity22 reached the altitude of 282,773 feet (86,189 m) on T+2:38 (after Launch Point). The apogee was six times the altitude at Launch Point when Unity22 was released from Mothership Eve.

About 10 minutes after the Launch Point, the altitude was descending through 21,000 feet. Mothership Eve landed at another location.
