Presale begins for Broken Bat Brewing’s holiday beer releases. Benny is a Mexican lager that has been aged in tequila barrels, and Ricky is a citrus wit that has aged for seven months in Sauternes white wine oak barrels. You can pick up your order and try them both on draft in the tap room (135 E. Pittsburgh Ave.) on Thursday, July 1.
Tickets are on sale for Wisconsin IPA Fest at Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.). The outstanding event is Saturday, Aug. 28 but don’t expect tickets to be available for very long.
Wednesday, June 30
The Tap Yard Waukesha (1150 W. Sunset Dr.) is pairing beer with popcorn at 6 p.m. Try four different beers paired with four flavors of popcorn. Cost is $12 in advance or $15 the day of.
Trouble Makers’ Cocina Mad Mexican Food comes to Sugar Maple (441 E. Lincoln Ave.) again. The four-course beer dinner includes four beer pairings.
Sprecher Brewing’s Pass Me a Pint Tour comes to Greenfield Park (2028 S. 124th St.) for a couple of weeks. The traveling beer garden will be there until July 18.
Thursday, July 1
Sprecher Fest is coming to the Bavarian Bierhaus (700 W. Lexington Blvd.) on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It will include beers from Sprecher, plenty of food and live music. The fest will also be pouring Festbier, a collab between Sprecher and Bavarian Bierhaus. Admission is free on Thursday, $5 on Friday and $10 on Saturday.
Raised Grain Brewing’s Pop-Up Beer Garden comes to Minooka Park (1927 E. Sunset Dr. Waukesha) for the weekend. Hours are 4 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 3 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
Toppling Goliath will be handing out delicious samples at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 4 to 7 p.m.
Friday, July 2
The beer garden at the War Memorial Center (750 N. Lincoln Memorial Dr.) opens over the weekend. Kegel’s Inn supplies the German beer and food. Hours for the summer are 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Weekend hours are noon to 8 p.m. The beer garden is open until Oct. 3.
It’s a busy day at 1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.). The brewery is releasing five Sausage Series beers, a sausage-themed collaboration with four other Wisconsin breweries. But wait, there’s more. 1840 is also releasing Pillow Top IPA and Pigs on the Wing, a hard seltzer made with cucumber, lime, ginger and mint. Presale begins at 9 a.m. and pickup is after 3 p.m.
1840 will also be hitting the road with a beer garden at Frontier Park (5400 N. Park Dr., Butler). Hours are 4 to 9 p.m.
Stock up on Eagle Park Brewing beers for the holiday weekend. The brewery is releasing four concoctions on Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Muskego location (S64 W15640 Commerce Center Pkwy.) and 3 to 10 p.m. at the Milwaukee taproom (823 E. Hamilton St.). Pick up Bowie’s Space Suit NEIPA, Major Tom Milkshake IPA, Shake Weight Hard Smoothie Seltzer and Rocket Pop Slush Sour Ale.

The Brewers Association has declared this day National Independent Beer Run Day. All you have to do to participate is purchase some local craft beer to enjoy over the weekend. It takes very little effort.
