She is a beautiful princess related to two German royal houses and the last kings of France, while he is a tall, dark and handsome French aristocrat, so we are certain that the first child of Duchess Sophie of Württemberg and Count Maximilien d'Andigné will luck out when it comes to genes.

The couple were wed in Germany in 2018 at Schloss Tegernsee, the home of Sophie's maternal grandparents, and the same location that her parents had married at in 1991. The bride made headlines for her beautiful ivory boat-neck dress, which was strikingly similar to the Givenchy design that Clare Waight Keller made for the Duchess of Sussex, who wed Prince Harry just six months earlier. For her civil ceremony, she wore a chic shift dress, which had belonged to her maternal grandmother, Duchess Elisabeth in Bayern.

Sophie was the first grandchild of the Duke and Duchess of Württemberg and the Duke and Duchess in Bavaria to marry, and her baby will be their first great-grandchild, too. She has two younger sisters, Duchesses Pauline and Anna and a younger brother, Duke Carl.

The couple met in London, where they currently live. Count Maximilien is the Vice President of Energy Derivatives Mitsui Bussan Commodities, while Sophie works as Marketing Coordinator at the Diligent Corporation.

As well as being related to German royalty, Sophie is also linked to the Orléanist family who have a claim to the French throne. Her great-grandfather was Prince Henri, Count of Paris.
