Three glasses of sours on a barrel

12 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: June 9-12

New beers to try, cool beer gardens to enjoy them in, and a pretty awesome program from Third Space Brewing.

Wednesday, June 9

Help Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) provide teachers with free beer by contributing to the Buy Beer For a Teacher beer fund. Donations can be made online, and Third Space will match the all donations made through Friday (June 11). Lucky teachers can start getting their free pints on Friday as well. As long as there’s money in the fund, Buy Beer For a Teacher will run until August 31. Cheers to the area’s teachers, and cheers to Third Space for this awesome program.

The latest Indeed We Can charity night at Indeed Brewing Milwaukee (530 S. Second St.) is tonight, and the beneficiary this time is Wisconsin Bike Fed, the statewide cycling advocacy organization. Net proceeds from all beers sold during the day go to the Bike Fed, plus there are bike-themed events, including group ride at 6 p.m.

Eagle Park Brewing is taking over the taps at Matty’s Bar & Grille (14460 W. College Ave.) from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Thursday, June 10

Check out the new Tap Yard Milwaukee (1301 N. Edison St.) and taste some great Toppling Goliath beers at the same time from 4 to 9 p.m. Iowa’s stellar brewery is taking over six of the taps.

Raised Grain Brewing’s Pop-Up Beer Garden comes to Menomonee Park (W220 N7884 Town Line Rd., Menomonee Falls). It’s open from 4 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 3 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.

Our biggest subscription sale of the year is happening this week only!

Friday, June 11

1840 Brewing (342 E. Ward St.) is releasing two beers this week. Farming Rainbows Saison will be available on draft only, and you can pick up bottles of a Dry-Hopped Watermelon Lime Gose that’s a collaboration with Untitled Art. Presale starts at 9 a.m. and pickup starts at 3 p.m.

Sprecher Brewery’s Pass Me a Pint traveling beer garden begins a nearly three-week stint at Doctors Park (1870 Fox Ln., Fox Point). It will be there until June 27. Hours are 5 to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

At 2 p.m., Third Space is tapping its first hefeweizen. I’m guessing it’ll pair nicely with their outdoor beer garden.

Discount Liquor Waukehsa (919 N. Barstow St.) is handing out samples from Lakefront Brewery from 3 to 6 p.m.

Saturday, June 12

Eagle Park Brewing has four beers slated for public release this weekend from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at both the Milwaukee (823 E. Hamilton St.) and Muskego (S64 W15640 Commerce Center Pkwy.) locations. Choose from Tropical Slush Sour Ale, Vegan Strawberry Peach Milkshake IPA and Love Is a Rose Triple Hazy IPA, which are all available in cans. Robert Brûlée Imperial Stout will be available on draft only. Eagle Park Members get access to all of these great beers on Friday.

Hacienda Beer Co. (2018 E. North Ave.) is releasing Chill Zone Cold IPA. It’s a collab with Fair State Brewing Co-op, so it’s gonna be good.

Try samples from Lakefront Brewery at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from noon to 3 p.m.

Discount Liquor Waukesha will have samples from Surly Brewing on hand from 1 to 3 p.m.
