Your Milwaukee Summer Live Music Guide

After months of canceling, postponing and rescheduling, live music is making a comeback! Here’s a selection of concerts and music festivals to check out this summer.

JUNE

1. Country Fest

JUNE 24-26 | 24447 COUNTY HIGHWAY S, CADOTT

Headliners for the three-day festival are Kane Brown, Dierks Bentley and Thomas Rhett. The full festival lineup is available here.

2. Chevelle & Halestorm

JUNE 26-27 | 4125 S. WASHBURN ST., OSHKOSH

Ford Live Park will host a two-day socially distanced event – tickets are sold in pods of four to six. Rock bands Chevelle and Halestorm will headline it, performing on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

JULY

3. Cheap Trick

JULY 3 | 2351 HOLMGREN WAY SUITE 101, GREEN BAY

JULY 10 | 11124 N. CEDARBURG RD. #290, MEQUON

The legendary rock band will perform at Epic Event Center on July 3. If you miss them the first time around, they will be performing at Gathering On the Green a week later.

4. Country Jam

JULY 15-17 | 3443 CRESCENT AVE., EAU CLAIRE

The three-day festival’s headliners are Old Dominion, Chris Young and John Pardi. The full festival lineup is available here.

5. Country Thunder

JULY 15-18 | 2305 LANCE DR., TWIN LAKES

The four-day festival’s full schedule is not yet available but its headliners are Dustin Lynch, Eric Church, Kane Brown and Blake Shelton. The full festival lineup is available here.

AUGUST

6. Wisconsin State Fair

AUG. 5-15 | 640 S. 84TH ST., WEST ALLIS

Main Stage headliners at the State Fair this year include Boyz II Men, Billy Idol, Hank Williams Jr., The Beach Boys and more. The complete Main Stage lineup is available here.

7. Deftones

AUG. 14 | 2401 W. WISCONSIN AVE.

The alternative metal band will perform at The Rave / Eagles Club with openers Gojira and Poppy. The concert will be a festival-like experience, including an outdoor Craft Beer Garden.

8. Maroon 5

AUG. 18 | 100 N. HARBOR DR.

The pop-rock band will be performing at American Family Insurance Amphitheater.

9. Blue Ox Music Festival

AUG. 19-21 | 5024 CRESCENT AVE., EAU CLAIRE

The three-day Bluegrass musical festival will feature over 30 artists including Shakey Graves and Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit. The full festival lineup is available here.

10. Modest Mouse

AUG. 21 | 116 W. WISCONSIN AVE.

The alternative rock band will visit the Riverside Theater two months after releasing their first album since 2015, The Golden Casket.

11. Daryl Hall & John Oates

AUG. 28 | 100 N. HARBOR DR.

The legendary rock duo will perform at American Family Insurance Amphitheater with openers KT Tunstall and Squeeze.

SEPTEMBER

12. Hella Mega Tour

SEPT. 1 | 100 N. HARBOR DR.

Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer will kick off Summerfest as a part of their global stadium tour, Hella Mega Tour, with special guest The Interrupters.

13. Summerfest

SEPT. 2-4, 9-11, 16-18 | 639 E. SUMMERFEST PL.

Summerfest is back! Headliners include Chance the Rapper, Jonas Brothers, Sheryl Crow, Zac Brown Band, Miley Cyrus, Guns N’ Roses, Diplo and G-Eazy. The complete lineup is available here.

14. Sad Summer Fest

SEPT. 10 | 2401 W. WISCONSIN AVE.

Sad Summer Fest comes to The Rave / Eagles Club in mid-September this year, with a lineup including All Time Low, The Story So Far, The Maine and more. The complete Sad Summer Fest lineup is available here.
