Milwaukee's Lakefront Fireworks

There Will Still be Milwaukee Fireworks on July 5

While there won’t be fireworks at the lakefront on July 3, there will still be multiple shows in Milwaukee on July 5.

On Thursday, the Department of City Development announced that Fourth of July festivities are coming back to Milwaukee in full this year.

The 2020 Fourth of July celebrations in Milwaukee were cancelled due to COVID. Now, with Milwaukee’s capacity restrictions, mask mandate and other health orders being lifted as of June 1, the events can resume without issue. The parades, picnics, fireworks and other activities are scheduled for Monday, July 5.

There will be fireworks in 10 County Park: Alcott, Gordon, Humboldt, Jackson, Lake, Lincoln, Mitchell, Noyes, Washington and Wilson.

Non-firework daytime celebrations will happen at Humboldt Park, King Center and Enderis Playfield.

The July 3 lakefront fireworks show was cancelled by the Milwaukee County Parks Department last week due to a staff and resource shortage – that show is still not scheduled to return until 2022.
