No new COVID-19 cases found

May 30, 2021

The Centre for Health Protection announced that as of midnight, no new COVID-19 cases have been recorded, leaving the total number of confirmed cases in Hong Kong at 11,837.

The centre said five cases reported earlier have been reclassified as imported ones after the epidemiological investigation, clinical evidence and genetic sequencing analysis revealed that the patients were more likely infected with the coronavirus before arriving in Hong Kong.

As a preliminary positive case concerning a person who arrived in Hong Kong from India in mid-April was recorded today, Shing Fu House of Kwai Shing East Estate, 63 Kwai Shing Circuit in Kwai Chung is now covered in the compulsory testing notice.

The Government will set up a mobile specimen collection station at the open space outside Shing Fu House on May 31 to provide free testing services.

Seventeen cases were reported in the past 14 days, including 16 imported cases and one import-related case.
