10 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: May 26-29

A long holiday weekend pairs nicely with craft beer events. There are plenty to choose from, including a big release by Vennture Brew Co.

Wednesday, May 26

Trouble Makers Cocina returns to The Sugar Maple (441 E. Lincoln Ave.) for another beer dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. The four-course menu looks pretty amazing and is just $65.

Thursday, May 27

Revolution Brewing is taking over six of the taps lines at Tap Yard Waukesha (1150 W. Sunset Dr.) from 4 to 9 p.m.

Eagle Park Brewing has three beers slated for release just in time for the long weekend. Choose from Czech the Rhime Pilsner, Watermelon Sour Ale and Golden Years Hazy IPA. The beers will be available for pickup starting at 11 a.m. in Muskego (S64 W15640 Commerce Center Pkwy.) and 3 p.m. in Milwaukee (823 E. Hamilton St.).

MobCraft Beer and 414 Flowers are hosting a pop-up beer garden from 4 to 7 p.m. at 209 E. National Ave. Expect beer, plant shopping, food and music.

Friday, May 28

Raised Grain Brewing’s Pop-Up Beer Garden heads to Minooka Park (1927 E. Sunset Dr., Waukesha) for the weekend. Hours are 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday and 3 to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.) is releasing Hop Rats IIPA over the weekend. Online presale begins at 9 a.m. and the bottle pickup begins at 3 p.m.

Gathering Place Brewing is opening its pop-up beer garden in Bay View (2160 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.) this weekend. Hours are 3 to 9 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

City Lights Brewing is handing out samples at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 3 to 6 p.m.

Saturday, May 29

Vennture Brew Co. (5519 W. North Ave.) has a big beer release day happening with several variants of Doughnut Don – a big imperial stout made with crullers, vanilla and coffee – hitting the tap lines and available in cans. Also on the menu, Jeelly Filled, a raspberry lemon pastry sour. The limited brews hit the tap lines at 11 a.m. and cans are available starting at noon.

The Fermentorium is releasing Music Maker American Pale Ale at both the Cedarburg brewery (7481 WI-60 Trunk) and Wauwatosa Barrel House (6933 W. North Ave.) at noon.
