Advance Payment without Photo ID

I have a client who has claimed UC because her partner has had to stop work to care for her, and so Child Tax Credit has stopped.  They need an advance payment to tide them over, but have been told that they can’t have one because my client doesn’t have any photographic ID.  Her passport and driving licence are in her previous married name.
What can we do?

In normal circumstances she would present her marriage certificate. During the pandemic under Trust and Protect prodedures, the Jobcentre could have done a Biographical check using the date held on CIS and there would be no need for photo id.

Hi Helen
Just to add to UB40’s post, don’t let it pass you by that the DWP guidance on biographical checks if no photo ID is available via Rightsnet resources: http://data.parliament.uk/DepositedPapers/Files/DEP2021-0349/18_Biographical_checks_v3_0.pdf
Cheers

Thanks both for your replies.
I’ve been in touch with our local DWP Partnership Manager and they have arranged a face to face appointment at the Jobcentre, so, hopefully, they will do the necessary biographical checks then.
