Illinois State Police and firefighters and paramedics from Itasca and Wood Dale responded about 12:19 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2021 to a report of a serious rollover crash on I-290 EAST just east of IL-390 near Itasca and Wood Dale. The crash was located near the 6.0 Mile Marker.
The first fire crew on arrival reported a 4-vehicle crash with a Jeep on its side.
Once victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
All or some lanes of I-290 EAST were blocked until about 4:00 p.m. All lanes were re-opened about 4:00 p.m.
