Scheme to help graduates launched

May 5, 2021

The Labour Department today launched the special Career Let’s Go programme to help secondary school graduates enter the job market.

Through an array of diversified pre-employment training and employment services, the programme aims to help school leavers obtain the latest employment information, plan for their careers and enhance their employability.

Running from May to August, the programme is expected to draw about 7,000 participants.

Secondary school leavers can browse the dedicated webpage for the various job vacancies identified as suitable for them and make job applications according to their personal aspirations.

The webpage also provides details on different types of job fairs organised by the department, including fairs under the Youth Employment & Training Programme.

The department encourages secondary school leavers opting to enter the employment market to join the youth programme, which provides one-stop comprehensive pre-employment and on-the-job training for free, with an allowance for the trainees and no pre-set quota.

Two youth employment resource centres, Youth Employment Start in Mong Kok and Kwai Fong, will also provide a series of practical training courses through the Happy@Work programme.
