May 2, 2021

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating two additional COVID-19 cases, both of which are imported.

The cases involve two women aged 39 and 44 who arrived from Indonesia.

A total of 129 cases have been recorded in the past 14 days, including 21 local cases of which nine had unknown sources of infection.

In view of the surge in testing demand from Tung Chung residents within a short period of time, the Home Affairs Department today set up a small-scale temporary mobile specimen collection station at Tat Tung Road Garden in Tung Chung which will operate until 8pm. A quota of 540 will be provided on a first come, first served basis.

As Turkish Airlines flight TK083 from Istanbul, Turkey arrived on April 27 with three passengers on board confirmed with COVID-19, the Department of Health invoked the Prevention & Control of Disease (Regulation of Cross-boundary Conveyances & Travellers) Regulation to prohibit the landing of Turkish Airlines passenger flights from Istanbul from May 3 to 16.
