1.45m COVID-19 jabs administered

About 1,454,400 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the public, with about 936,400 people receiving their first dose and about 518,000 getting their second dose.

 

Among those given the first dose of vaccines, about 434,800 people have received the Sinovac jab and about 501,600 people have received the BioNTech one.

 

For the second dose, about 315,500 people have received the Sinovac vaccine, while about 202,500 people have been administered the BioNTech jab.

 

About 4,500 people received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme today.

 

Among them, about 3,800 people received the jab at community vaccination centres (CVCs), while about 700 people were inoculated at private doctors and clinics participating in the programme.

 

Around 4,800 people received their second dose of the Sinovac vaccine today, including about 4,500 people vaccinated at CVCs and about 300 people through private doctors and clinics.

 

For the BioNTech vaccine, about 15,500 people received their first dose at CVCs and about 15,700 people received their second dose.

 

The overall percentage of people who received the Sinovac vaccine at CVCs is 97%, the same as the BioNTech vaccine.

 

As of 8pm, about 6,300 people had booked their first and second doses of the Sinovac vaccine online, while about 26,400 had reserved their first and second doses of the BioNTech jab.

 

As of midnight, 11 people were sent to hospitals.
