Addman acquires metal 3D printing company, appoints new CEO

Addman has acquired metal additive manufacturing company 3rd Dimension.

Metal and polymer additive manufacturer Addman Engineering LLC, an American Industrial Partners company based in Bonita Springs, Fla., has acquired 3rd Dimension Industrial Printing.

Located in Westfield, Ind., 3rd Dimension 3D-prints and CNC-machines metal parts. Its capabilities range from prototyping to production. Founded in 2013, the Indiana company has printed parts for the aerospace, racecar, and consumer goods industries. The facility is ITAR-, ISO9001-, and AS9100-certified and produces parts from nickel-based alloys, aluminum, high-strength steels, and other materials.

In other news, Addman named Joseph Calmese its new CEO. He steps in for company founder and CTO Mark Saberton, who had been acting CEO.

Calmese brings eight years of senior management experience to the job. Among his former duties were strategic management, business modeling, and mergers and acquisitions. His most recent position was with Honeywell’s Alerton global business group.
