Every Writer starts their journey somewhere. This is what got me in to writing for others instead of me

I was not a writer by profession nor a regular. I enjoyed being a writer because I treated it as a hobby. With time the writer in me needed more, he craved much more than a simple once-a-month rant. So the journey to find my place as a writer began a few months ago.

I used to post my small rants which shouldn’t even be considered as writing on social media. They were received by my friends and I had positive feedback. I think the main reason for that is how much they related to each story or rant I have written. And the ones they felt closer to , were their favorites.

Along the way, I was aiming to write more than smaller rants about me. The narcissist that lived inside me hated it. Why the fuck would I write on anything other than myself, I asked. But then it dawned on me that, why can’t I just write about myself but make it relatable for anyone who reads. Thus began my attempt at finding others through myself and sharing my experience in my life expecting it to relate to others.

It did find people. I was getting more and more feedback and I loved it. It was an entirely new experience for me. Writing for a cause instead of simply venting…
