JetBlue Airways announced Wednesday that it will start service from Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport in the second quarter of 2022. The airline will offer nonstop flights to two key markets – Boston Logan International Airport and New York/John F. Kennedy International Airport.
“This is exciting news for travelers throughout Wisconsin. JetBlue is the largest domestic airline not already serving (Milwaukee), and this will be a fantastic option for passengers traveling to and from Milwaukee in 2022,” Mitchell Airport Director Brian Dranzik said. “The new routes also allow for easy connections to other destinations from New York and Boston.”
JetBlue has a robust connecting hub in both cities, and JetBlue’s new codeshare partnership with American Airlines opens up many connections to Europe and beyond on American, Dranzik noted.

JetBlue has received recognition for its outstanding service, free Wi-Fi, and in-flight entertainment. Flight schedules, aircraft type and launch dates are still being determined by JetBlue and will be announced later this year.

New York-based JetBlue, founded in 1999, is the eighth largest airline in North America by passengers carried. JetBlue is the second airline to recently announce that it would begin serving Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport.
Spirit Airlines will launch daily nonstop flights to Orlando International Airport, Las Vegas McCarran International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport beginning June 24. Once service begins, Spirit will offer the only nonstop flights to Los Angeles from Milwaukee. Florida-based Sprit has built its reputation on low fares and customizable travel options.
