Patti Key, previously with Keysight Technologies, Ixia and Agilent Technologies, has joined the TPx leadership team as chief revenue officer.

Key is responsible for developing TPx’s go-to-market strategies and making the company money. She has more than 20 years of experience in sales and telecommunications organizations.

Key reports to CEO Don Joos and will work closely with the entire TPx leadership team to drive strategy, and help build and maintain relationships with customers and partners.

“I wanted this role for several reasons,” Key said. “First, TPx is transforming their business, and I enjoy the creativity, speed and focus required for a successful transformation. Second, every person I met is excited about being at TPx and has great respect for Don Joos. Lastly, I believe I can add value to the organization. There is so much talent and potential, and I believe I can help them excel.”

Partner Program Assessment

The channel is a critical part of TPx’s go-to-market strategy, Key said.

“Every channel program, even the best-in-class, can improve, but my first step will be on assessing our program,” she said. “My goal is that our partners understand our differentiation not only as an MSP, but also as a partner, and we are positioned to be their provider of choice.”

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in March.

Previously, Key was senior vice president of sales at Keysight Technologies. There, she focused on running an efficient and effective sales organization. She also grew the company’s communications solution group.

Before that, she was senior vice president of global sales at Ixia. Keysight acquired Ixia in 2017.

Key also held roles at Agilent Technologies, HP and AT&T.

“Specific to the channel, I have experience leading hybrid sales organizations,” she said. “I understand the importance of clear guidelines and transparent communication to minimize channel conflict.”

At the top of Key’s to-do list is meeting team members, customers and partners.

“I want to understand what we do well, what needs immediate attention and what needs to evolve over time,” she said.

“As a leading nationwide MSP for SMBs and enterprise organizations, Patti’s passion for innovation in business and technology will be a critical add as our executive team continues to build market momentum with our growth strategies,” Joos said.

Security Advisory Services

In other news, TPx has expanded its services portfolio to include security advisory services for SMBs. These new service will provide a cost-effective way for SMBs to understand their vulnerabilities, identify gaps in their business’ cybersecurity and define a strategy to secure their business.

Jonathan Goldberger is TPx’s vice president of security and professional services.

“Small business owners face enough challenges,” he said. “Navigating the ever-expanding cybersecurity landscape shouldn’t be one of them. With an alarming 60% of SMBs going out of business within six months of a cyberattack, our security advisory services help SMBs understand the risks and build an actionable plan to secure their organizations.”
