The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating 30 additional COVID-19 cases, one of which is locally transmitted and epidemiologically linked with a local case.

The new local case involves a 31-year-old woman who lives in Parkes Building in Jordan.

Among the imported cases, 22 arrived from India, while the others are from Indonesia, the Philippines, Egypt and Canada.

A total of 152 cases have been recorded in the past 14 days, including 36 local ones, of which 12 have unknown infection sources.

The Food & Health Bureau said The Centrium, 60 Wyndham Street, Central is included in the compulsory testing notice after a confirmed case was found in a workplace in the building.

Additionally, the bureau said as one of the local cases with unknown sources announced yesterday involved the N501Y mutant strain, the Government has to conduct more extensive compulsory testing targeting the activities and places patronised by the patient.

Anyone who had been present at Wellcome, Basement, 45-53 Austin Road or Harbour City shopping mall, 3-27 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui on April 11 must undergo testing by April 20.

The Government will set up a mobile specimen collection station at Pier 3 Car Park of Harbour City tomorrow for people subject to compulsory testing. The mobile specimen collection station at Block 2 of Oi Fai House, Yau Oi Estate, Tuen Mun will extend its service to April 20.
