Black Restaurant Week Is Here

Help keep Black-owned restaurants open and show your support this week, and beyond.

The sixth Milwaukee Black Restaurant Week is going on right now and runs through Sunday April 18. Which means it’s a great time to check out a restaurant you’ve never been to or support a longtime favorite.

Twenty local Black-owned restaurants are offering their fare for carryout or curbside pickup. The list of participating restaurants includes Mr. Perkins Family Restaurant, Daddy’s Soul Food & Grille, Rise & Grind cafe, Ashley’s BBQ, Twisted Plants (vegan), Funky Fresh Spring Rolls, Sauce & Spice MKE (pizza), Immy’s African Cuisine, Terrilynn’s Soul Food Express and more.

As sponsor BlankSpace MKE expressed it on the MBRW website, “Your patronage this week could make all the difference to keeping the doors of our favorite restaurants open during this season of COVID-19.”

The site also offers a little snapshot of each restaurant, with hours and payment information.
