Here's why Fauci finds Texas' dropping COVID-19 rates 'confusing'

'He's a complete and utter Faucist'

On "The Rubin Report," BlazeTV host Dave Rubin shared a video clip of Dr. Anthony Fauci struggling to understand why coronavirus cases in Texas have continued to decline even after the Texas mask mandate was removed.

In early March, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) reopened the state from COVID-19 lockdowns and lifted mask mandates, a move Fauci called "quite risky" and President Joe Biden labeled as "neanderthal thinking."

About one month later, Fauci said he's "not really quite sure" why coronavirus cases in Texas have continued to tick downward during an appearance on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

"You know, it can be confusing, because you may see a lag and a delay because often you have to wait a few weeks before you see the effect of what you're doing right now," Fauci told host Willie Geist in the clip. "I'm not really quite sure. It could be they're doing things outdoors."

"He just says a whole bunch of nothing," Dave said of Fauci. "And that's what he's said basically for a year at this point."

Dave pointed out that Texas' mandates were actually lifted more than "a few weeks" ago and have been far less restrictive than states like New York and California for almost a year, and yet COVID-19 case numbers continue to drop.

"And even if there is a bump next week, that does not mean it's an automatic reason to just lock us down and not let us live," Dave added. "This is not how humans are supposed to be. But Fauci has gone so far with this thing, I just don't see how you can trust him at this point anymore. He's a Faucist. He's a complete and utter Faucist."

Dave also discussed the revelation that Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors has been spending millions buying up fancy houses in affluent neighborhoods and talked about the Black Lives Matter riots and looting that broke out in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, after police shot and killed Daunte Wright.
