Where to Get New Sneakers, and Local Races to Show Them Off

Motivating yourself to hit that trail, or treadmill, is a little easier if you’ve got one of these slick pairs of running shoes in your closet.

1. Men’s Saucony Endorphin Pro

$200 | PERFORMANCE RUNNING OUTFITTERS

Consider yourself a speed demon? Then these could be the shoes
for you. They come with a carbon fiber plate, sandwiched between two layers of foam, that’s designed to help serious runners roll through each stride just a smidge faster and more efficiently than they normally would. That means that they can help you shave a little time o of each mile you run, and allow you to keep your energy up for longer stretches, too.

2. Women’s Nike React Infinity Run FlyKnits

$160 | FOOTLOCKER

Nike’s FlyKnit products have been popular for years. And for good reason. Their one-piece uppers are made with a special type of yarn that’s lightweight, breathable and flexible. This particular pair also features a well-cushioned, rocker-shaped sole that promotes a smoother stride. All of that tech translates to a more comfortable running experience.

3. Women’s Hoka Stinson ATR 6

If you like trail running, then you’ll love these Hokas. Their reinforced toe caps o er protection from loose rocks and sticks. And their soles are dotted with wide and evenly spaced lugs that ensure stability on even the roughest terrain. Plus, the shoes are cushy as all get-out, and come with the brand’s highest-volume compression-molded midsole, so you’ll be able to focus on the beautiful scenery you’re running past, instead of the condition of the ground under your feet.
