A few weeks ago, I read through a home tour featuring a turn-of-the-century Minneapolis Craftsman and I haven’t stopped thinking about the fact that the owners decorated each room based on a different season. There’s a quiet, thoughtful Winter Room where you can drink tea and play the cello. There’s a carved wood–filled Autumn Room where you can sit by a crackling fire. There’s a sun-drenched Summer Room with walls covered in citrus-patterned wallpaper…you get the idea. What a dream!
In honor of the stray buds I’ve seen peeking out through the dirt and the maple sap streaming from my sugar maple trees, I thought it would be fun to shop out a very spring-inspired room. Not only does a burst of floral sheets or strawberry-covered napkins make your home look more fun, but they’ll make you more fun. This is your prescription for a better mood*.
