The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) Open Day 2021 webpage was launched today to facilitate the public's understanding of the Observatory's work and services through virtual tours of its headquarters.

In view of the COVID-19 pandemic developments, the open day will be held online for the first time this year. It will adopt the theme of this year's World Meteorological Day, "The ocean, our climate & weather".

The webpage will provide a diversified experience through virtual tours, videos and interactive games.

At around 3pm tomorrow, a sand painting performance to promote messages related to climate change and extreme weather will be live-streamed on the Observatory's webpage and Facebook page.

Results of the 2016-2020 Top 10 Mind-boggling Weather & Climate Events Selection online polling campaign will also be announced at the event.
