Dan Sartain, American songwriter, has died aged 39
Dan Sartain, the American rock musician, has passed away at the age of 39.
While the exact details of his death have yet to be released, Sartain’s death was confirmed through an official GoFundMe page. The fundraiser has been established in a bid to raise money to pay for the musician’s funeral costs.
“Dan Sartain left us many memories and music, but has unfortunately left us way too early,” the statement reads. “As wonderful as his legacy is, he had no plans for the unmentionable, and thus, here we are.
“We aren’t trying to do much but have a small service for family and friends, and with Dans wide range of friends, this should be achievable.”
Adding: “From all of his family, we thank you.”
Having emerged on the scene in the early 2000s, Sartain successfully managed to blend numerous genres through his experimentation, blending elements of rock, rockabilly, punk rock, blues and more in what proved to be a supremely intoxicating mix.
After releasing his debut album, Crimson Guard in 2001, Sartain would go on to share nine more full length projects, the last of which coming in 2006 in the shape of Century Plaza.
