Preston Pipe opens registration for its OCTG and line pipe forecasting conference

The publishing team that produces the monthly "Preston Pipe & Tube Report" has scheduled its 2021 OCTG & Line Pipe Forecasting Summit for Oct. 12. Exploring the state of the oil and gas industry recovery over the next three years, the conference will examine some of the big shifts likely to have an impact on the energy sector, specifically the new Democratic administration in Washington and the greater focus on climate change.

Topics include a drilling forecast that incorporates price expectations; consolidations among exploration and production companies; the role of new technologies; and shareholder activism in an era of growing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) activity. Other topics include the demand for gathering infrastructure and pipelines and how it’s likely to be influenced by drilling expectations, regulatory changes, and production forecasts; the steel supply; international trade in tube and pipe products; and Preston’s three-year forecast.
