Just ahead of BlizzCon, Blizzard has rolled out a patch for the Overwatch retail build that impacts Reaper and three tanks. All of the changes that the developers tested on last week’s Experimental card have made it to the live game.
In a nutshell, the tweaks make Orisa and Winston more resistant to damage in certain situations by adjusting the Fortify ability and armor/health split respectively. Wrecking Ball won’t boop around enemies as much, as the knockback strength of his Grappling Claw ability has been reduced. As for Reaper, his Hellfire Shotguns will be a bit more effective at range, but that comes at the expense of reduced overall damage output (even more so than Blizzard tested on the Experimental card).
You can read more about what these changes mean in my post covering the Experimental card. Here are the full patch notes, including details on a few bug fixes:
Orisa
Fortify
- Prevents critical headshot damage while effect is active
Reaper
Hellfire Shotguns
- Spread reduced from 8 to 6
- Damage per projectile reduced from 7 to 5.5 (Note: this was reduced to 6 on the Experimental card.)

- Base Armor/Health has been redistributed from 100/400 to 150/350
Wrecking Ball
Grappling Claw
- Knockback strength reduced 25%
