Ferrous85″ Co. to provide on-site toll slitting at SDI Sinton campus

Ferrous85″ Co., Wilder, Ky., has announced it will install and operate the largest slitting line in North America at SDI Sinton’s EAF steel mill in Sinton, Texas. The line, which will be operational by September 2021, will offer toll slitting of hot-rolled and hot-rolled pickled-and-oiled material.

The slitter will process master coil widths from 36 to 85 in. and weights to 105,000 lbs. Slit width capacity is 6 to 85 in. in gauges from 0.090 to 0.750 in.
