Virus testing verified

February 17, 2021

The Government today said joint enforcement actions on compulsory testing notices at two buildings in Tsim Sha Tsui have been completed, in which more than 120 residents were found to have violated the notices.

The two buildings are Tsim Sha Tsui Mansion at 83-97 Nathan Road and 36-50 Lock Road and Mirador Mansion at 58 Nathan Road.

The enforcement actions were conducted this morning by the Yau Tsim Mong District Office, together with the Home Affairs Department’s Office of the Licensing Authority, Police, the Centre for Health Protection and the Auxiliary Medical Service.

About 710 residents’ test records were checked during the operations that ended by 11am.

The Government thanked the residents who complied with the testing notices. Those who violated the notices were issued fixed penalties of $5,000 or compulsory testing orders, or both.

Noting that the enforcement process may cause inconvenience to residents, the Government appealed for their understanding as the operation was conducted to stop the spread of COVID-19 in the community.
