Joseph Allen (Joe) Blazina passed this life into eternal life on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021 at his home in Hutchinson. Joe was born on March 18, 1951 in Lyons, Kansas to Joseph and Helen(Brozek) Blazina.

Joe married the love of his life, Dawn Ellen (Bitsy) Main on June 24, 1972 in Robertsville, Missouri and to this union one daughter Melissa was born.

Joe was a career gas and oil worker. Working in Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Colorado for over 40 years; most of which was as a pipeline welder. Joe started his own business, Joes Welding and Excavation. Joe not only welded in the oil and gas industry but also for farmers and friends; of which many he did for no charge or recognition; just out of his generosity. Joe loved the outdoors - hunting, fishing, boating, camping and other outdoor activities. He loved to have cookouts at his home with family and friends. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and was so looking forward to this years SuperBowl. But Joe's favorite thing to do was to spend time with Bitsy no matter what they were doing.

Joe is survived by his wife Bitsy of the home; daughter Melissa and Husband Keith Bishop of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; sisters Joan Peterman, Kathy Immesote, Judy Henderson and Janet Herman all of Lyons, Kansas; brothers in law Scott and Kathy Main of Pineville, Missouri and Kelly Main of Westminster, Colorado; sisters in law Kristie Tovar of Winfield and Marla and Mike McGovney of Cunningham, Kansas; grandson Nick Griffin of Hutchinson; numerous nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, and brother in law David Main.

Cremation has occurred and a family memorial service is planned for a later date. Memorials may be made in Joe's name to Hospice and Homecare of Reno County, 2020 N Waldron St. #100, Hutchinson, KS 67502. Arrangements entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home in Andover.
