Salem Snow Emergency Parking Ban For Super Bowl Sunday Storm

The snow emergency parking ban begins at noon on Sunday citywide and at 3 p.m. for the downtown district.

SALEM, MA — Salem residents will have to get their cars off the streets ahead of the big game.

The city has issued a snow emergency parking ban starting at noon on Sunday and 3 p.m. for the downtown district.

The Museum Place Garage and South Harbor Garage snow rates went into effect at 9 a.m. Alternative parking is also available at the MBTA garage (parking policies and rates do apply).

The snow parking ban is in effect until further notice.

"Please remember, during the snow emergency a parking ban is in effect, and vehicles must be totally removed from city streets and sidewalks or your vehicle will be ticketed and towed," the city said.

The Super Bowl Sunday storm is expected to bring between 3 and 6 inches of snow to the North Shore starting midday Sunday and running through the early evening.
