The Centre for Health Protection today announced it is investigating 19 additional COVID-19 cases, of which 16 are locally transmitted. Six of the cases are untraceable.

At a press briefing this afternoon, the centre's Communicable Disease Branch Principal Medical & Health Officer Dr Albert Au said the cases comprise nine males and 10 females, aged between two and 83.

Of the linked cases, three are from the Hong Kong International Airport Three-runway System construction site cluster, Dr Au said, adding they are site workers' close contacts.

Additionally, five buildings with one or more new confirmed cases were included in the compulsory testing notices. Those who had been at these buildings for more than two hours from January 24 to February 6 have to undergo testing by February 8.
