The Trump campaign paid about 45 law firms and attorneys, including several big firms, a combined $7 million in the two months after the presidential election, according to FEC records.

Am Law 200 firms including Kasowitz Benson Torres, Jones Day, Dechert and Shutts & Bowen billed the campaign for hundreds of thousands in legal work related to recounts across the country, according to FEC records showing disbursements between Nov. 4 and Dec. 31, 2020. The records illuminate how the campaign work can generate large fees for firms, no matter the political client.
