Stephen Curry isn’t leaving the Bay Area any time soon, but he is saying goodbye to one of his homes there. The NBA star and his wife, Ayesha Curry, have listed an investment property they purchased about a year and a half ago. According to the Los Angeles Times, they are asking $1.349 million for the modestly sized home, about $150,000 more than it cost them in 2019.

The single-story residence spans 1,240 square feet, with three bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s located behind a white picket fence and features beamed ceilings, wide-plank floors, and upgraded lighting fixtures added during the Currys’ ownership. The property also includes turf lawns, a pergola for outdoor dining, and a finished garage that serves as an office.

Located three miles away—and worlds apart—is the huge estate that Curry scooped up in the summer of 2019 for $31 million, making it the most expensive house sold in the entire Bay Area that year. That home is located in Atherton, which boasts the most expensive zip code in the country, and includes a three-story main house, detached guesthouse, and poolside cabana spread across 1.2 acres.

More recently, in January 2020, the longtime Golden State Warriors point guard dropped $8 million on a luxury condo in San Francisco, less than two miles away from the team’s new Chase Center headquarters and only a few blocks from Ayesha’s International Smoke San Francisco restaurant. The 2,800-square-foot unit is located in the city’s Four Seasons Private Residences, which is slated to open later this month and offers amenities including a 10,000-square-foot “club floor” comprising private dining areas, a full-service bar, VR sports simulators, and a fitness center.
