The Hospital Authority today said a 67-year-old male patient has passed away, taking the number of COVID-19 patients who died in public hospitals to 180.

The patient was admitted to Tuen Mun Hospital on November 23 due to fever and asthma and subsequently tested positive for COVID-19.

After treatment, he tested positive for antibodies and was released from isolation by the Department of Health on January 25.

His condition continued to deteriorate and he eventually succumbed this morning.
