CRIME SCENE AT HOUSE FIRE SCENE

Police from Inverness and firefighters and paramedics from Palatine Rural Fire Protection District responded about 4:48 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2020 to a report of a house fire in the block of 200 Bradwell Road in Inverness.

Police first on the scene reported smoke showing.

Firefighters removed one victim from the home, and were searching for a possible second victim. A second victim was found in a car in the garage.

The scene was declared a crime scene at about 5:30 p.m.

Fire officials confirmed Sunday night that two people had died in the house fire on Bradwell Road.

A MABAS Division 1 Box Alarm #36-1 was activated at about 5:13 p.m.

Firefighters, paramedics and/or command officers from Arlington Heights, Cary, Lake Zurich, Mount Prospect, Rolling Meadows, Rutland-Dundee, Schaumburg, and Wheeling were assigned to the scene.

Firefighters and paramedics from Algonquin and Arlington Heights were assigned to standby at the Palatine Rural Fire Protection District Fire Station.

Later a MABAS Tender Box was activated to bring water to a portable tank setup at the front of the house. Tankers or tenders from Barrington-Countryside, Cary, Prospect Heights, and Rutland-Dundee were assigned to the scene.
