design studio WGNB has completed a new flagship store for eyewear brand ‘papyrus’ within the nineone hannam complex in seoul. the concept unfolds around the idea that glasses are similar to architecture, as both share the fundamental intent to create ideal structures for different environments. combining bold colors and robust stainless steel fixtures, the design generates a functional environment with a distinct, impressive aesthetic.

WGNB has formed a unique interior by combining both functional structures and aesthetic decorative objects. a set of stainless steel structure beams is covered in bright red, contrasted with a soft suede surface for eyewear display. the designers have applied a bold blue color on walls, floors, and ceilings to highlight the red areas, along with the exposed concrete beams in the interior. lastly, a set of new signature lighting fixtures by viabizzuno, in collaboration with the WGNB team, helps brighten up the space.
